About the Course


Our intensive An Inspector Calls revision course runs from 9:30am – 3:30pm (with regular breaks throughout the day) and is designed to give students the knowledge, confidence, and exam skills they need to succeed in their GCSE English Literature exam.

•⁠ ⁠Plot & Structure – key events and dramatic techniques.

•⁠ ⁠Characters – the Inspector, the Birlings, Gerald, and Eva.

•⁠ ⁠Themes & Ideas – responsibility, class, gender, and morality.

•⁠ ⁠Context – Priestley’s message and historical background.

•⁠ ⁠Exam Technique – planning, writing, and maximising marks.


Students will:

•⁠ ⁠Revise the play with clear, structured teaching.

•⁠ ⁠Practise exam-style questions to strengthen technique.

•⁠ ⁠Analyse characters, themes, and quotations with step-by-step guidance.

•⁠ ⁠⁠Gain a clear strategy for tackling exam questions confidently.


By the end of the day, students will leave with stronger knowledge, improved confidence, and a clear strategy for tackling Paper 1.
