About the Course


Our intensive English Language Paper 2 revision course runs from 9:30am – 3:30pm (with regular breaks throughout the day) and is designed to give students the skills, confidence, and strategies they need to succeed in their GCSE English Language exam.


Who Is This Course For?


This course is ideal for Year 10 and Year 11 students preparing for AQA GCSE English Language Paper 2. All content is tailored to match the assessment requirements, with guidance on how to approach both Section A (reading non-fiction) and Section B (transactional writing) questions.


Topics Covered:


•⁠ ⁠Section A (Reading) – Approaches to Q1–Q4, including comparison skills, summarising, analysing language, and evaluating writers’ perspectives.

•⁠ ⁠Section B (Writing) – Techniques for articles, speeches, letters, and other non-fiction tasks, focusing on viewpoint, tone, and audience.

•⁠ ⁠Exam Technique – Time management, structuring responses, and strategies to secure top marks.


Students will:

Practise every question on Paper 2 with clear, step-by-step strategies.

•⁠ ⁠Build skills in comparing ideas and perspectives across texts.

•⁠ ⁠Strengthen writing techniques for persuasive and transactional tasks.

•⁠ ⁠Gain confidence with timing and exam-day strategy.


By the end of the day, students will leave with stronger knowledge, improved confidence, and a clear strategy for tackling Paper 1.
